Bankroll Management
Our reward system will help you to build a bankroll fast, but you still need to think about bankroll management, as this is the key to be a successful poker player.
Bankroll Management for cash games
Fixed Limit
For fixed limit games the bankroll should be 300 big bets (600 Big Blinds). If you would like to sit down in a $1/$2 limit game, you would need a bankroll of at least 300x$2 = $600.
No Limit
For no limit games you need a slightly bigger bankroll, as the risk and the bets are much higher than in limit games. As a rule of thumb you should have 20 times the maximum buy-in. E.g. $1.000 for NL50 and $2.000 for NL100. For NL games higher NL100 it is better to be a little bit more restrictive, 40-50 times the maximum buy-in should be the weapon of choice.
Bankroll Management for SNGs
For the players who primarily play SNGs the bankroll should be 50-100 of the current buy-in.
Bankroll Management for MTTs
If you play a MTT once in a while to have fun you don’t need to spend to many thoughts about bankroll management. But it’s a different story if you try to build a bankroll, in that case your bankroll should be at least 100 the buy-in of a given tournament.
